A proposal or tender is a document written to outline work that will be done at a set price in response to receiving a request for proposal, or more formally a RFP (Request For Proposal), ITT (Invitation To Tender) or RFT (Request For Tender).
A quotation is a less formal document that outlines the work to be done and a reasonably accurate price for its completion.
You should note the difference. The former is considered to be a formal and legal document. The latter, the quotation, is considered to be a set price by recipient that will need some considerable reasons for its change – although it is not a legally binding document.
There are also business proposals where a company contacts a company spontaneously with a view to introducing their company and product line. These are usually one or two pages long. Details of this service are here.
Some clients want me to write their standard documents such as their Health & Safety Statement others want me to set up a whole library of documents. Whether you just want this assistance or a complete bid written, I will ensure that as much as possible is reusable for future bids. This can save you a considerable amount of money, and, even if you become able to do it yourself, you can still call for help.
With over 25 years bid management experience and writing everything from a small bid to an international multi million country infrastructure bid, I can assist you with writing all or parts of your bid, whatever your country.
To ensure the best possible price, I first of all ask to view your RFP so that I can ascertain the amount of work that you want me to undertake. I will then provide you with a fixed price. I understand that time and quality are very important.
Details of our Tender Writing Services can be seen in our brochure.
Standard Proposal Documents I will produce a library of standard documents found in many PQQs and tenders. These can all be used time and time again with only minimal changes. Health & Safety Statement, Safe Guarding Document, Quality Document and Risk Management Document from $250
